HOW TO DO A FUNKY HAIRSTYLE?

  • Decide on the type of funky hairstyle you want to have:- This should be your first step; you need to know what exactly looks cool on you. Funky hairstyles differ in shape and color, so you have to consider both factors. If your parents are strict, you might need to opt for a calm & simple color and haircut. Being a teenager, you will want to test out different things, it’s normal, because this is the right time to do that. But if you still go to school / college in that case, you’re bound to obey certain rules & regulations, which means you won’t pull off any trend of your choice, get what you need but make sure it fits within rules and regulations both at school and at home. On the other hand, teenagers above 18 yrs, you have a right to do whatever you need, so you probably have no limitations, the only thing you have to consider is the shape and color of your hair.
  • Prepare your hair:- Start by washing it with a nice shampoo / conditioner, this will help you get rid of any dirt and chemical build-ups that are always cause by use of many hair products over a period of time. When you wash your hair, it will become soft and easy to style, so even when you start cutting it like the lady in the picture above did, you won’t find any trouble. If you have colored hair and you plan to remain with that color, use a shampoo made for colored / bleached hair, that type of shampoo will clean your hair very well and at the same time retain the color. On the other hand, if you want to replace that color with a new funky color, you will use a strong hair dye remover; it will clear all the old dye and leave your hair in its natural state.
  • Rinse out the shampoo & Conditioner:- You should not leave shampoo / conditioner to sit in your hair for so long unless when your hair status requires you to use a leave-in conditioner. Use Luke warm / Cold water to rinse out the hair products, this will help your hair retain natural oils and nutrients which help it look smooth and shinny. After removing the shampoo / conditioner, you need to dry that hair very well, because it can be tricky to cut when it’s too wet. So, you can use a blower or let it dry by its self.
